Screaming In An Empty Room

Does it feel as if you are screaming in an empty room when the news does not cover important reports or twist facts into spin? So do I. I'm not anti-military but I am against all that is being done to the men and women who joined the military to defend this nation. For PTSD post, go to http://woundedtimes.blogspot.com.

MOTHER'S DAY AT THE GRAVE

Mother's day is this Sunday. What did you get your mother? The only thing Mother's really want is to know her children are healthy, happy and God willing, live longer than they do. For the Mother's of the troops in Iraq from all of the countries involved, too many of them no longer have that wish. The total counts of the Iraqi people who have died since the invasion are not known. It seems no one ever bothered to start keeping track until this year. http://icasualties.org/oif/ They did.

In January, 780 Iraqi civilians were killed.
In February it was another 846.
In March it was another 1,094.
In April it was another 1,010.
And for the Month of May so far it has been another 424.

These figures were taken just from news reports.

The coalition has lost 2,656 since Bush's mission was accomplished.
Of those the US has lost 2,436 as of yesterday. The total fatalities for the US is 2,484 from reports.

Those lives were lost as a direct result of Bush's push to invade Iraq at will. The Bushbackers will claim whatever they can to back up their view that the numbers are very low considering how many died during other wars, but they never manage to use the total figures of the vast numbers of forces involved in those wars. They will use traffic accidents, and again they never manage to use the total figures of how many people are on the roads. That is the problem with the 29% as of today who still support Bush. They never look at the entire picture. Is it really any wonder why none of them want the coffins shown on TV or the reports of the deaths on the news? They would rather have the news broadcast crap and ignore the fact there are two wars going on right now. Afghanistan has been totally forgotten by the American minds. Iraqi is nothing more than a passing thought. That is except for the Mother's who have had to bury their children.
